2018 Paws for Peace Walk
Welcome to the 2018 Paws for Peace Walk, a domestic abuse awareness event benefiting the Paws for Peace Kennel at Harbor House of Central Florida.
Tails are wagging in anticipation of the 8th Annual Paws for Peace Walk– a fun and leisurely stroll for pets, their families and friends to raise awareness about domestic abuse and its effect on pets and their owners!
We walk because:
- 48% of survivors delay leaving an abusive situation for fear their pets will be harmed.
- 88% of pets living in domestic violence homes are abused.
- 100% of the proceeds of the walk funds will service survivors and their pets staying at Harbor House.;
- Regular walks are important for your dog to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle – opportunities for exercise, exploration and socialization for people as well as pets.
The Paws for Peace Walk takes everything to the next level. So mark your calendars and tell your friends!
